Overview of the role (What we’re looking for) 

We’re looking for an office cleaner with experience in the cleaning and maintenance of office space. The successful candidate will be part of a small team but must be able to work independently. We want someone that is helpful, positive and has a get things done attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a daily high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in and around the office/warehouse space
• Develop routines to ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness
• Ensure the canteen and restrooms are clean, and stocked with the necessary products at all times
• Be available throughout operational hours to clean up as and when required
• Ensure correct cleaning products and equipment are used for specific jobs
• Ensure the wet floor sign is up and visible at both ends, when cleaning the floor
• Be friendly, professional and able to assist customers
• Perform any other duties assigned from time to time

Education and Experience (Minimum Requirements) 

• 2 years’ work experience in a cleaning environment
• English spoken and written
• Applicants fluent in additional languages (Xhosa; Zulu; Afrikaans) will be given preference
• Contactable references
• No criminal record

Compensation and Benefits 

• R72 740 Basic per annum
• Business Incentive Scheme in addition
• Permanent Contract

 Working Hours 

• Operational Roles are required to work a six-day (45 hour) week which includes Saturdays
• Public holidays will be worked as scheduled (on rotation)
