Job Description
Business Unit: Motus Car Rental
Reports to: IT Infrastructure & Operations Senior Manager
Based at/in: Bruma (Zulberg Close), Johannesburg
Position overall objective
The purpose of the position is to provide high-level technical support and services related to software, hardware, networks, and enterprise systems.
Job Outputs
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers (physical and virtual).
• Manage virtualization platforms (Hyper-V).
• Monitor server performance, resource utilization, and availability.
• Perform patching, updates, and regular system maintenance.
• Implement and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and related services.
• Support cloud-based environments (Microsoft 365).
• Ensure security best practices, including vulnerability management, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Troubleshoot server, storage, and network-related issues within SLA timelines.
• Document configurations, processes, and changes.
• Collaborate with the service desk and escalate complex issues when necessary.
• Any other duties as assigned by management
Minimum Experience
• 3 years experience in server administration or systems engineering.
Minimum Qualification
• Grade 12/ Senior Certificate
• National Diploma in IT; Computer Science or a related discipline
Minimum Certification
• A+
• MCSE, MCSA, or Azure Administrator
• ITIL Foundations V3
Minimum Requirements
• Valid, unendorsed driver’s license
• Knowledge of IT Infrastructure and operations process
• Implementation and adherence to IT processes and procedures
