UD Trucks Midrand currently holds a vacancy for an Administrator: Debtors. Reporting to the Manager: Finance. 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Administrator: Debtors to join our finance team. The successful candidate will report to the Manager: Finance and will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records. 

Key Performance Areas

  • Verify EFT payments against bank statements
  • Capture receipts on Evolve daily
  • Follow up with customers regarding shortfalls and prepare relevant schedules
  • Reconcile debtor accounts
  • Liaise with attorneys on legal matters
  • Handle and resolve specific debtor queries
  • Prepare monthly schedules for staff deductions
  • Monitor bank statements for credit card reversals and fleet management re-debits
  • Provide temporary support to Credit Controllers by following up on debtor accounts
  • Conduct credit checks on new credit applications
  • Maintain a high level of honesty and integrity
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • Perform additional duties as required
  • Assist with receptionist duties when necessary (combined role)

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Grade 12 (Matric)/NQF Level 4 equivalent qualification 
  • Clear credit and criminal record
  • Computer literate, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Evolve (advantageous)

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in a similar role or environment (Debtors Clerk within Automotive Industry)
