Job Title: Dealer Principal
Location: Paarden Eiland, Cape Town
Department: Operations
Reports To: Franchise Executive
Job Type: Full-time
Summary:
The Dealer Principal is responsible for overseeing all operations of the dealership, with a focus on achieving financial goals, maintaining customer satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Dealer Principal is also responsible for growing the business and maintaining a positive work environment for employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of sales, service, and administrative staff
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and profitability goals
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, and take corrective actions as needed
- Establish and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and manufacturers
- Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies
- Implement training programs to enhance employee skills and performance
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, pricing, and merchandising
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and coaching to employees
- Stay current on industry trends and market conditions to make informed business decisions
- Participate in community events and marketing initiatives to promote the dealership
Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in business administration or related field (Advantageous)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive sales and operations
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and profitability goals
- Knowledge of automotive industry trends and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and dealership management software
