Parts Sales Representative — Hino Trucks Parow (Western Cape)

About the Role

Hino Trucks Parow is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Parts Sales Representative to join our Parts Department.

Reporting to the Parts Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in growing parts sales, supporting workshop operations, and building strong relationships with customers across the commercial vehicle industry.

This role suits someone who enjoys working with customers, understands the importance of uptime in the transport industry, and is driven to identify sales opportunities while delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell truck and commercial vehicle parts to workshop and retail customers
  • Identify and pursue parts sales opportunities with new and existing customers
  • Proactively follow up on quotations and active prospects
  • Maintain and update the customer database and CRM records
  • Assist customers with accurate parts identification and pricing
  • Ensure efficient administration of orders, quotations, and invoicing
  • Work closely with the workshop to identify parts requirements and upselling opportunities
  • Conduct regular walk-throughs of the workshop to identify parts sales opportunities
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business
  • Assist with stock control, stock counts, and general parts department operations
  • Deliver a high level of service to both internal and external customers

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Parts Sales within the motor industry
  • Computer literate
  • Clear criminal record

Advantageous

  • Experience within the commercial vehicle or truck industry
  • Knowledge of diesel / truck components
  • Experience working with dealer management systems (e.g., Kerridge)
