Job Purpose

To plan, manage and monitor all logistics activities and processes in order to deliver on approved operational plans and to continuously enhance service delivery through the inbound logistics activities of parts, products and accessories to dealerships.

Minimum Experience

3 - 5 years' experience in a similar environment, of which at least 1 - 3 years' supervisory / team lead experience.

Minimum Qualification

• Matric (Grade 12)
• A tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Experience

1 - 3 year experience in a similar environment

Minimum Requirements

A broad understanding of the motor and/or the logistics and /or transport industry andlegislation relating thereto.

GENERIC JOB OUTPUTS

PROCESS

•Champion policy frameworks and objectives with internal partners to ensure integration between functions, in pursuit of strategic goals.
•Communicate top down policy modifications, ensuring overall buy in and support of organisational goals and objectives.
•Contribute to the development of the appropriate strategy and set targets within area of accountability.
•Coordinate, oversee and facilitate the development, alignment and implementation of tactical strategy and delivery plans across functional area.
•Define standard operating procedures (SOPs).
•Develop, implement and control mechanisms to safeguard assets and stock in line with organisational and M/Importer policies and procedures.

•Manage all operational risk and risk mitigation initiatives.
•Manage and monitor warehouse stock levels and stock accessibility in order to ensure stock availability for sales.
•Manage fleet and fleet expectations in order to support the distribution function.
•Manage supplier relationships to measure performance, quality assurance and agreed delivery timeframes to ensure availability of stock.
•Manage of stock/parts and ensure availability.
•Managing operational capabilities and business processes in order to optimise business results.
•Monitor and report on progress against operational plans and adjust where required.
•Plan, manage and monitor governance compliance processes in area of accountability in order to manage risks and expose liabilities.
•Resolve problems by applying the necessary discretion and guidelines.

FINANCE

•Drive optimisation to maximise profits.
•Ensure accurate billing taking into account additional charges and profit margins
•Ensure effective and efficient administration of operational costs within budget andidentify areas of financial risk.
•Manage financial activities in line with approved policies and procedures.
•Manage transactions according to business plan action applicable interventions.
•Manage, monitor and report on budget variances and provide solutions.
•Monitor and track expenditure and pricing models to maximise cost benefit ratios and increase shareholder value.
•Optimise logistic operations in order to maximise efficiencies that contributes to cost reductions.
