Role Overview:
As the Controller for Vehicle Stock, you will be responsible for overseeing the inventory management of all vehicles at the dealership. This includes tracking incoming and outgoing stock, ensuring accurate record-keeping, coordinating with sales and service departments, and conducting regular audits to maintain stock accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the movement of all vehicles in and out of the dealership
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of vehicle stock levels and locations
- Coordinate with sales and service departments to fulfill customer orders and dealership requirements
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy
- Report on stock levels, trends, and discrepancies to management
- Identify and resolve any stock-related issues in a timely manner
- Implement and maintain best practices for inventory management
- To ensure the accurate and timeous (daily) capture of purchase
- Basic admin
- Verify creditor
- Bringing cars into
- Invoicing vehicles
- Raise / Create Cheque
- Issuing of
- Monthly reporting on outstanding order.
- Phone suppliers for outstanding invoices and balancing vehicle costing on Drive to the department managers cost sheet.
- Ensure required documentation is available in deal file before.
- Assist stock controller in reporting of sales
- Daily debtor’s allocation and updates to back
- Maintain clean and orderly work
- Report any deviations to Financial
- Stock takes (twice a week) of all vehicles bringing vehicles into
- Provisions on all vehicles that are in
- Issuing purchase
- Updating stock list with retail
- Controlling of the Demo Fleet, updating reports to Matrix and back office and weekly stock
- Controlling of License and registration for the new and used
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably within the automotive industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
